Ezz Treadaway

Self Taught Tattoo Artist and Designer based in the South West, UK

About Me

My name is Ezz, a self-learning tattoo artist based in the South West, UK, dedicated to bringing femininity back into the tattoo industry. My work blends fine-line precision with bold, symbolic imagery, creating tattoos that celebrate softness, strength, and self-expression. My designs often feature organic elements, celestial motifs, and surreal compositions, balancing delicate details with striking impact. Inspired by beauty, nature, and transformation. Tattooing, to me, is more than ink—it’s storytelling, empowerment, and self-expression. I’m passionate about offering a space where femininity in tattooing thrives.

I've edited the designs I have created onto people to give a better representation of how they can look

Hi, I’m Ezz, a practicing tattoo artist based in the South West, UK. I am passionate about blending artistry with empowerment, creating pieces that embrace softness, strength, and individuality. My work challenges the traditionally masculine aesthetic of tattooing, offering designs that celebrate feminine expression in all its forms. As I continue to develop my craft, I focus on fine-line details, symbolic imagery, and compositions that flow naturally with the body. I love the idea of turning people into walking pieces of art, giving them tattoos that feel both personal and powerful. My journey as a tattoo artist is still evolving, and I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and connecting with people who resonate with my approach to tattooing. My aim is to redefine femininity in the tattoo industry and to create body art that empowers self-expression and challenges traditional masculine tattoo aesthetics. My work is about more than just decoration—it's about reclaiming tattooing as a form of personal storytelling and empowerment.
Working primarily in black ink, my style blends fine details with striking compositions, offering an alternative to traditionally masculine tattoo aesthetics.
My work is for those who feel underrepresented in traditional tattoo spaces—people who want art that reflects their identity, femininity, and individuality. Through my art, I hope to contribute to a shift in the tattoo industry, proving that femininity in tattooing is not just about aesthetics but about strength, self-expression, and personal connection. I want my work to inspire confidence, create representation, and help people wear their stories on their skin in a way that feels both powerful and uniquely their own.
I am currently designing my Final Major Project at university, which focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive study environment for neurodivergent students in secondary schools. The project explores how spatial design can reduce sensory-overload, encourage focus, and promote emotional wellbeing. Through this work, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how people emotionally and physically engage with their environment—something that directly informs my approach to tattooing.
Alongside the conceptual development, this project—and my course as a whole—has significantly strengthened my practical skills in digital tools such as Procreate and Photoshop, both of which I now use daily in my tattoo design process. I’ve also developed an eye for emerging visual trends and learned how to translate research and inspiration into cohesive design outcomes. These skills allow me to refine my artwork, communicate ideas clearly to clients, and stay creatively informed in a fast-moving industry. Whether designing spaces or creating body art, my process is now more intentional, technically polished, and emotionally attuned—qualities that define both my design identity and my tattooing practice.
